READ FIRST: Finding a suitable FREE Assembly

To find a suitable FREE assembly use one of these options:

  • On the Assemblies drop-down menu are sub-menus for Years 1-2, Years 3-6 and Years 7-11. These will show you all the available assemblies for the selected year groups (NB many of the assemblies for Years 1-6 are included in both primary categories because they are suitable for all these school years).
  • Towards the bottom of the side menu are clickable module categories for Assemblies. These will show you all the available assemblies in those categories (across all the year groups).
  • At the bottom of each assembly are clickable links. These will show you related assemblies and others in the same module category or year group.
  • As more people join us and support this site we will add more assemblies based on the latest films.

To find a suitable FREE lesson:

  • On the RE Lessons drop-down menu are sub-menus for Years 7-9 and Years 10-11. These will show you all the available RE Lessons for the selected year groups.
  • Towards the bottom of the side menu are clickable module category titles to fit the current exam specifications. (These will be modified when the details of the new exam specifications are released). These will show you all the available RE Lessons in those categories (across both the year groups).

Assembly Objective:

Do we treat people differently according to their appearance or social status? Is a poor woman’s cash worth as much as a rich woman’s credit? This assembly defines prejudice and encourages self-examination. Through a New Testament letter to a church, students will examine their own prejudices and be challenged to treat others with respect and fairness regardless of appearance or social class. Downton Abbey: A New Era

Assembly Objective:

How many of us change our speech, look or behaviour when we’re with other people? Who will tell us how to be ourselves when we forget who we are, and how does God view us? This assembly examines the idea that a true friend will speak the truth to us, and that God judges us by our hearts, not how we look or speak. Through an Old Testament story, and a proverb, students will consider Christian teaching on identity and friendship, and be challenged to be honest friends to one another. Continue reading

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Assembly Objective:

If given the chance to start again, would we choose to wipe away our past? Are our relationships contingent on life going smoothly, or can we trust that our friendships and family relationships will stand our mistakes? This assembly invites students to consider how they respond to life’s uncertainties and their own mistakes. Through the words of a psalm about God’s love and forgiveness, students will reflect on Christian teaching on fresh beginnings, and on the importance of forgiveness in relationships.
